Last year, I made a pendant from this lovely serpentine heart bead that I found in a shop. I was never very happy with the results, so I took it apart and made a new one! I can tell that my skills are much further along than last time, and I think it's quite a cute pendant now! I included the original key on the upload.

I've always loved keys, ever since I found this pretty vintage key ring with several gorgeous skeleton keys hanging on it! I always imagined finding what lock they went to, but my grandmother sold her house and I never did. Once I started making jewelry, it only seemed natural to recreate my love of these beautiful items.

This key is made from that serpentine heart bead, with antique copper wire, 2 onyx rondelles, and a round labradorite bead. It hangs on a copper chain, and closes with a lobster clasp.

I'm probably going to do a few more of these comparisons, if nothing else they help me feel a bit more confident!

I agree, your skills have improved a great deal. Good call with comparing old work with the latest one.

Thanks! :D
I've seen people do similar comparisons with drawings, so it seemed like it would apply here too!
